FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the screen recorder free?+

Yes. It is free with no account, no watermark and no time limit.

Do I need to install anything?+

No. It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer. Phones and tablets do not let websites record the screen.

Can it record my voice and computer sound?+

Yes. Turn on the microphone, the computer sound, or both. In Chrome and Edge, tick Share tab audio or Share system audio when you pick what to share.

What format is the video?+

MP4 in most browsers, or WebM where MP4 is not available. Both play in Chrome, VLC and most LMS players.

Is my recording uploaded?+

No. The video is made in your browser and saved to your device. Nothing is sent to our servers.

How long can I record?+

There is no set limit. Very long recordings use more memory, so for full lessons we suggest recording in parts.
